Our annual Winter Seed Swap event takes place each year on the last Saturday of January in celebration of National Seed Swap Day. The free event is open to the public and has drawn hundreds from across the state for a day of seed sharing. All viable flower, herb, and vegetable seeds may be swapped and guests are encouraged to share bulbs, tubers, plant cuttings, kombucha scoby, kefir grains, sourdough starters, and other fermentables.
In addition to other incentives, Cleveland Seed Bank members enjoy early admission to the Winter Seed Swap event and are granted priority access to heirloom seeds one hour before the crowd. REGISTER HERE for the January 27th Annual Winter Seed Swap.

Guidelines for Seed Swap:
Bringing seeds is not required for attending the Seed Swap.
If you bring something hand-collected to swap, please label it with any important information like plant type, preferred growing conditions, and the age of the seeds.
Pre-packaged seeds are welcome at the Seed Swap.
Seeds will be separated by family during the event for guests to easily identify seed types.
We ask that guests take only what they will grow. Envelopes are available for taking smaller portions.
This is a family-friendly event, and we’ll have activities for kids in attendance.
